About the Designer

Nathalie Ohayon was born in Montreal, Canada.  From a young age, Nathalie was drawn to the arts – from studying classical ballet to earning her Laureate diploma in piano during her teenage years, all the while experimenting in mixed media and model-making in her spare time.

Always passionate about design + creating, and striving to find the balance between art + science, she enrolled at the esteemed McGill University where she obtained her master’s degree in Architecture.  During her studies, she was selected to take part in a student exchange program that took her to Haifa, Israel for 6 months.  After completing her master’s and having been awarded the Dunlop Scholarship, she travelled throughout Europe to see and experience what she had learned and dreamed about in her textbooks.

During her studies, Nathalie was handpicked by one of her professors to work in his architectural firm, Anderson Architects, doing high-end residential work and private clubs.  She continued to work there after graduating for a total of 8 years.  It was during this time that she perfected the art of drafting and took part in all aspects of design and construction, from conception to turnover.

She then switched gears and turned her focus to commercial and healthcare work in the Technical Services Department at the Jewish General Hospital for another 8 years.  It was there that she honed her project management skills, which equipped her with the ability to handle tight deadlines and even tighter budgets efficiently.  She simultaneously did freelance design and renovated restaurants.

Nathalie moved to Miami in 2013 with her husband and three children.  A top residential interior design firm, DKOR Interiors, came calling and there she quickly grasped all aspects of the interior design world, connecting with vendors and trades, and allowing Nathalie to become the well-rounded interior architect and designer that she is today.  She has 19 years of experience in the combined fields of architecture + design.

Nathalie finds inspiration daily and applies her creativity and know-how to all aspects of her projects.  From decorating homes to renovating houses, Nathalie Ohayon listens to her clients and immerses herself into every project with passion and sensibility.
